Dr. Dennis is a consultant on the DAMSS team, and provides training, feedback, and assistance to the team surrounding qualitative methodology and practices.
Her research focuses on core methodological concepts and practices in the context of socio-political concerns, particularly ethics and validity. She recently published a book titled Walking with Strangers: Critical Ethnography and Educational Promise (2020) and a textbook with colleagues titled Making Sense of Social Research Methodology: A Student and Practitioner Guide (Zhao, Ross, Li & Dennis, 2021).
In her free time, Dr. Dennis practices veganism, novice beekeeping, and loves to sew and play tabletop games.
