Dr. Turner serves as a Co-Principal Investigator on the DAMSS grant, collaborating in the roles of survey developer, psychometrician, data manager, and analyst. She also mentors DAMSS team members.
She studies instrument design and scale development; differential item functioning impacts on psychological and behavioral science measures; item response theory modeling in educational and social sciences; and has collaborated as Co-PI or evaluator on more than 30 grants funded by organizations such as the National Science Foundation, US Department of Education, Arkansas Department of Education, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
In her free time, Dr. Turner's favorite activities are raising her statistically significant outliers, watching movies and documentaries, and playing racquetball and volleyball.
