Role on DAMSS Team
Dr. Elizabeth McElroy is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the DAMSS team. Liz holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma with an additional certificate in Program Evaluation and a Masters in Applied Psychological Research from the University of Dundee, Scotland.
Research Interests
In addition to attitudes about abortion, her research focuses on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and religion. Using an interdisciplinary lens and drawing from the fields of sociology, psychology, sexuality studies, and religious studies, Liz's research often explores how different social domains shape attitudes and practices related to personal health and well-being. She is also interested in exploring advanced quantitative methods and presenting them in a way that is accessible to a more general audience.On a Personal Note
In her free time, Liz can be found reading, exercising, traveling, hiking, and rescuing her kids’ legos from the dustbin.
